Joe Thompson is a portfolio musician, specialising in guitar performance and composition. At 13 years old, he discovered his love of music after seeing a live jazz big band. Since then he has been dedicated to creating music and playing in bands. In 2022, he achieved a lifelong goal of playing the mainstage at Isle of Wight Festival with the up and coming Beth Brookfield. 

Joe's broad playing style means he is at home in any style required of him. He is as happy playing jazz as he is playing rock and pop. 

Compositionally, Joe is very much inspired by the game soundtracks he enjoyed growing up, taking inspiration from soundtracks such as Chrono-Trigger, Final Fantasy among others.
